Join us for an interactive educational experience hosted by Master Educator for the Diageo Hospitality program, Vanessa Leon, and Educator, Eric Sobalvarro.
We will walk everyone through the Agave plant and the five different spirits made with it. Giveaway bags, light bites, and cocktails are included, and an all-agave guest bartender popup with Estaban Escobar, head bartender at The Highlawn will commence after the training workshop.
Enjoy watching classic wrestling matches at the “LuchaBar” popup. Sample a variety of agave-based cocktails prepared by guest bartender Esteban Escobar. Join us this Tuesday for a fun evening of mariachi, masked mystery, and tequila.
Esteban Escobar has a passion for delicious flavors. His exceptional dining experiences came at an early age while watching his Executive Chef father, Carlos Gonzalez, manage a successful restaurant for over a decade. Esteban had been helping in the kitchen and learning as early as he could remember. He found that beverage programs excited him by the time he came of age. He met his bar mentor and longtime friend, Tom Richter, around the same time. Tom would help him land his first NYC bar gig and go on to teach him more than he could imagine about cocktails. In his ten years in the industry, he has worked behind some of the best bars in NJ, worked with several beverage startups, and have brought countless smiles to the guests he’s served.
